Steffen Walvius is a graduate of the University of Zaragoza in Spain in the field of the Sustainable Management of Energy Systems. He has more than ten years of international experience in the field of construction, energy and real estate, during which he worked with representatives of companies and investors to improve their companies’ ESG and the sustainability of their real estate portfolios. Steffen is also an active member of the European sustainability working group within the RICS professional body and of the EU-funded research project Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM). “The mission of CBRE’s new central team, under the name Energy & Carbon, will provide companies with comprehensive services so they can achieve energy savings, meet carbon targets and generate renewable energy across their portfolio. All this is based on the most advanced dynamic building performance simulation software for accurate and science-based performance analytics,” commented Steffen Walvius.

Martin Vejražka will be in charge of managing the growing network of international energy experts and at the same time continuously improving the products offered under CBRE’s new service. He will also become a key stakeholder of the Group within the framework of sustainability and compliance with the ESG principles for the Czech market. From the position of the head of the local team, he will further expand the offered advisory services not only on the level of buildings and portfolios, but also in the sense of the future direction of companies and their reporting.

“I’m taking over a Czech team with strong foundations, where we are able to guide clients through the complicated processes of a wide range of internationally recognised certifications from BREEAM and LEED to WELL. And I intend to build and expand on these solid foundations with additional services. Within the entire CBRE Group, we have an abundance of know-how and a database mainly from the developed markets of Western Europe, which we will use to provide a head start and competitive advantage to our domestic clients,” described Martin Vejražka.

Martin Vejražka graduated with a master’s degree with a focus on Land and Real Estate Planning and Development from Radboud University in the Netherlands. He has been involved in commercial real estate consultancy for his entire career, which amounts to almost eleven years. Over the last five years he has also focused on sustainability and technical and energy consulting. Martin speaks fluent English and his hobbies include spending his free time with his family, playing tennis and woodworking.
